Description
Fiddes Barrier Seal is the perfect sealer to use on oily wood, reclaimed boards or hard to clean up wood surfaces prior to application of Hard Wax Oil or Clear Glaze.
To prepare, firstly make sure that any previous floor finish is completely removed. This may require the surface to be sanded if there is severe contamination. The surface will need to be dust and grease free before the barrier seal is applied. Wash with Fiddes Surface Cleaner and allow to dry.
Stir the contents thoroughly before and during use and ensure that the working environment is warm and well ventilated. Apply evenly with a high quality or synthetic bristle brush in the direction of the grain. If necessary Barrier Seal can be diluted by 10-15% with Methylated Spirit.
Note: The drying time will be greatly extended if Barrier Seal is applied in cold, damp or humid conditions.
