The classic chino reborn in true &SONS style. We have designed a new style of chino, influenced by a classic 1950s style trouser, balancing the smarter chino with a workwear aesthetic, using a medium weight cotton twill and adding brass hardware, practical details and a button tab turn up. The build and finish feels more like a carpenter’s trouser, with angled pockets, pocket loop and a heavier cotton than traditional chinos.
This gives them a tough, workwear finish but with the cut and style of the iconic design. We’ve introduced a coin pocket on all of our colour ways, this smaller pocket, usually found on the inside of the front pocket, were introduced back in the 1800s to hold watches.
The chinos are the most comfortable trousers I’ve ever owned!

Origins
Take inspiration from the original fatigue pant worn by the US military.
First created for the British Military in 1840 to combat the humid conditions whilst fighting in India, these staple pieces have seen a resurgence in nearly every decade of fashion. The chino was always on our list of essentials for &SONS but we had to create something unique. Inspired by style icons such as Daniel Craig, James Dean and of course, the legend himself, Mr Steve McQueen, who wore them in films like The Great Escape, but with the &SONS twist. Smaller pockets usually found on the inside of the front pocket, were introduced back in the 1800’s to hold watches. Over time, the pocket was reduced in size and used to carry anything from coins and ticket stubs to pieces of gold.

Classic McQueen Style The icon of style and inspiration for the &SONS collection, Steve McQueen never looked cooler when keeping it classic with a tan chino and simple white T. Keep the cuffs minimal, show off the button strap detail and wear with a pair of moccasins for an effortless casual look. Go one size up for a much looser fit in the leg, cinch in across the waist and add our Virgil Belt to keep everything up. Turn up a couple of times to let them hang over your leather boots.
