The product is made up from 5kg/m2 BCO silver class O reinforced foil faced polymeric backed with a stitched non woven quilted back and glass acoustic core of 24/25kgm3 density in 25mm.

The acoustic guidance above is based on a configuration of a flat panel through and through test only.
The actual performance of TekHVAC polymeric acoustic lagging quilt is a complex subjective subject and must be calculated by an acoustician on a job to job basis as it will be subject to different criteria, taking into account shapes (circular, square or rectangular) internal size, steel thickness, volume movement of air or gasses within the duct along with the environment were the ducting is situated. Calculations and tests on ducting have shown that the overall performances will generally produce results close or lower to the above performance guidance figures.
Where a higher acoustic reduction is required, or a high level of vibration may be occurring within a duct, the TekHVAC acoustic damping self-adhesive matt should be applied to the ductwork before fitting the TekHVAC polymeric acoustic lagging quilt.
This will greatly improve the results at low frequencies and the resonance of the rigid material it is applied to.
