This brushwood robin nester bird box is perfect for nesting birds in springtime. The size and shape is suitable for small nesting species such as Robins. Nesting is mostly during April/May. In the event of chicks hatching there will be frenetic feeding activity by the parent birds. Take care not to disturb during this time as any intervention may result in the eggs or young being abandoned by the parent birds.
Many small wild birds prefer an open nesting environment with easy access. This can cause an issue as small birds need to be protected from predators. This brushwood robin nester has been designed with this in mind. With an open entrance, a concealed nesting space behind the side wall and covered by a roof. The base has a rattan landing platform with a low dividing wall separating the nesting or roosting space.
