Kazak design rugs are a new production inspired from old Caucasian designs from various districts in today’s Azerbaijan, areas such as Shirvan, Gengeh, Karabah, Kazak, etc. Using high quality hand spun wool in mainly vegetable dyes where the designs are mostly geometric in vibrant colours, such as this lovely rug in red background. They are woven by skilled weavers in Afghanistan. Due to Afghanistan not having the export and washing facility at present, the rugs are then sent to Pakistan for the washing and finishing process. These rugs are highly decorative, durable and represent a very good value.
