He’s a bit of a hippy at heart with a genuine love for all things garden and we reckon his very presence in any garden will promote a certain tranquility and harmony with nature. Not to mention a great talking point and a little bit of light humour. His funky design with pot-belly, long beard and pointed hat are the brain-child of an Australian Jewellery maker and all his designs are hand finished in Vietnam from recycled shipping drums. His vibrant colours are achieved by using coats of tough lacquer and these look great and are perfect for use outdoors all year round. A few things you may not know about garden gnomes ... They are considered to bring good luck. Sir Charles Isham first created the garden gnome in the UK during the 1400’s. They’re banned from the RHS Chelsea Flower Show - not sure why! They have a life expectancy of 400 years - apparently! Their main enemies are people who don’t care for the environment and trolls, obviously.
