This Lions Rugby shirt was personally signed by Martin Johnson on August 30, 2023 in Bristol. Johnson played his first test match for the Lions in 1993. Johnson was selected to captain the 1997 British Lions Tour of South Africa. The Lions won the series 2-1, making this tour a great success for Johnson and the coaching staff. In 2001 he became the first man to captain the Lions twice as he led the 2001 British & Irish Lions tour to Australia.
