Weigela Magic Carpet is a deciduous shrub that maintains a compact nature, whilst showing off a vibrant array of colour. The growing season - Spring into Summer - is where the magic happens, with bright green new foliage surrounding an abundance of bell-shaped pink flowers. As the plant ages, the leaves will take on a shade of apricot-orange, adding a new colour wave, and therefore, a further period of interest. The size of this variety makes it ideal for planting in a pot, container, or amongst a border, patio or balcony display. This Weigela variety is a low maintenance, easy to care for variety that any plant lover will enjoy growing. Placing it in full sun or partial shade is preferred. Most soil types will be tolerated, as long as you keep them moist and well-drained. Make sure you water the plant well until fully established during the first growing season. Minimal pruning is required.
