Frog 47 The First Pedal 47 is the third bike in Frog's new and improved frame range, that has been carefully designed to help maximise the lifetime of the bike for a growing child. It is one of the lightest 18" kids' bikes on the market It is the ideal first pedal bike for 4 to 6-year-olds with an average inside leg of 47cm A low bottom bracket position ensures a safer riding position, whilst allowing for a greater leg-length range to be accommodated 10mm spacer above the handlebar stem to give the option to raise the handlebars higher as your child grows The alloy cranks are a child-friendly short (89mm) length with 32t chainring The sealed bottom bracket ensures these cranks spin freely The 440mm wide alloy handlebar is fitted with slim grips for smaller hands This bars are fitted to a short 38mm alloy stem to keep them within easy reach. Tektro alloy V-brakes with alloy levers are such excellent stoppers Manufacturer's published weight: 6.75kg Frog Bikes Sizing As an example of their original approach, rather than numbering their kids' bikes by wheel size, Frog size their bikes by inside leg measurement. Hence the Frog 62 is recommended for children with a minimum inside leg measurement of 47cm. This corresponds with other manufacturers' 18 inch wheel kids' bikes.
