The 1/30 Billings Le Bayard from the wooden ship model kits range accurately recreates the real-life fishing vessel from Fécamp on the north coast of Normandy. Built around 1850. At that time these boats were used for fishing. The hulls were raw unvarnished wood and the sails were red-brown in colour. In 1878 these boats were replaced by lighter ones. This kit features plank on frame construction, laser cut plywood keel and frame components, wooden superstructure and decks, hull and deck fittings in brass and/or plastic. It includes full-size plan sheets and an instruction manual with English text. This wooden boat kit is ideal for the beginner.
