The garden seat has rounded edges and a smooth finish making it suitable for commercial use such as schools, colleges, parks, public gardens and many other places that will endure the rigours of everyday activity. Manufactured from British grown Douglas Fir and processed in the most environmentally friendly methods available, all the logs are from Devon and Cornwall woodlands and are processed locally in our Cornish sawmill. The finished furniture set is treated with wood preservative, under controlled conditions by vacuum pressure technology using the latest environmentally safe "Tanalith E" from Arch Timber Protection. Tanalith E treated timber can be used with confidence for all applications in Hazard class 1-4, internal and external, above and below ground use. This furniture is strong, solid and durable, it does not need any further treatment, it can be left outside all year round and will last a lifetime. However, if you would like to maintain the furniture’s cosmetic appearance our Protection Oil can be applied, which is perfect for protecting your garden furniture and keeps it looking fresh. Our Swedish Redwood & Douglas Fir furniture arrives pre-treated but will weather and fade over time which some people prefer, once the furniture has weathered the protection oil can be applied. Anchor Kits: We can also supply anchor kits for this bench, available for either hard or soft ground. The anchor kits act as a theft deterrent and stabilises the bench making them perfect for public areas. Please see the drop-down menu on the right of this page to select anchor kits for this bench. “Hard Ground” anchor kits include: Fully galvanised fixings suitable for securing a garden bench to paving slabs or concrete. Supplied with 4 holding brackets, 4 screws to screw the 4 brackets to the bench legs and 4 anchor bolts to secure the holding brackets to the cement/slab. “Soft Ground” anchor kits include: The Spiral style anchor kit is designed to be screwed into grass or can also be sunk into concrete for extra-strong holding. The kit consists of galvanised spiral (metal bar may be required to drive into the ground), 1m of 6 x 12 heavy galvanised chain, open link to join the chain - hammer required to close link (please note that if you wish you can join the chain with your own padlock). Plaque – Available in Solid Brass, Stainless Steel or Bronze, the price also includes an inscription. Please allow approx. 2-4 weeks for plaques to be completed, it is also possible to forward the bench within 48 hours and follow on with the plaque.
