The perfect balance of smart and casual dressing, with a sharper silhouette and shawl collar paired with soft, heavy British wool for comfort. As the legend goes, the Earl of Cardigan wanted a jumper that wouldn't mess up his hair when removing it. The shawl collar was introduced in the 1920s combining the neck of a smoking jacket with the body of a cardigan. Style icons such as Steve McQueen and Daniel Craig and favoured the flattering lines of a shawl cardigan which has seen a resurgence in recent years.
