The Billing Boats 1/75 Wasa from the wooden ship model kits range accurately recreates the real-life vessel. This wooden boat kit is highly realistic with many fine details. The Wasa was a three-masted royal ship launched in 1627. It measurements were; Length 70.00m, breadth 11.50m, draught 4.80m, displacement 1,400 tons, sail area 1,150 m2 and had a crew of 133 sailors and 300 soldiers. On its maiden voyage in 1628, the Wasa sank in the Stockholm harbour. Using a primitive diving bell, 53 of the ship's 64 cannons were salvaged in 1664. The ship itself was lifted from the sea on 24th April 1961, and the Wasa Museum was opened the following year. This kit features plank on frame construction, laser cut plywood keel and frame components, wooden superstructure and decks, hull and deck fittings in wood, brass and plastic, mast and spars, rigging cord in various sizes and printed sails.
