Specialized All Condition Armadillo Elite 700x23 Tyre One of the best, lightweight, multi-condition, puncture-resistant tyres available. Specialized's new Gripton tread combines low rolling resistance for speed with superb grip in all conditions, wet or dry. Armadillo Elite bead-to-bead puncture protection is much lighter weight than competing flat protection. Supple 120tpi casing makes for a more comfortable ride. Aramid bead saves weight, makes the tyre foldable (another Specialized first). Inflate to 115-125 psi. Approx weight: 285g. TPI TPI refers to the tyre casing's thread per inch count. The more threads per inch the better. A tyre with a higher TPI will be more supple. Most production bikes come with tyres around 30 TPI. Better bikes with 60 TPI tyres. High-end £1,000+ bikes usually have 120 TPI tyres. Pro racing tyres can be 300-500 TPI.
